About me and Nateras
I'm Albert Badia Nateras, born in Girona, a Mediterranean city in Catalonia, Spain.
I come from a family deeply rooted in construction. My grandparents on both sides were experienced masons. My father and uncle continued the trade, building homes under the name Badia, my first surname.
A craft that runs in my blood
In 2017, I started working as a laborer in my father’s construction company. For years, I was involved in new builds and home renovations, learning firsthand the value of hard work, precision, and materials.
Concrete became part of my everyday life. I worked with it under the sun, in the rain, and in the cold… until one day, in 2019, I laid my first brick. My father taught me. That moment has stayed with me. From there, I began to understand basic architecture and develop a creative approach to problem-solving and constructive progress.
From construction to design
Over time, I developed a more creative eye. I now study architecture on my own and continue working as a builder, participating in all kinds of construction projects. But I also decided to shape something of my own.
That’s how Nateras was born
I remembered my grandfather’s old workshop in the countryside, where my family and I spent hours building chairs, tables, and little wooden inventions. That place was play, work, and creation all at once.
One of my most vivid memories is the solid white concrete furniture my father hand-built for his entryway. A unique, high-quality piece. It inspired me deeply.
With the knowledge I had and a strong desire to create unique home objects, N A T E R A S was born — a brand that blends craft, design, and emotion.
A tribute to my story, my family, and everything that can be built with your own hands.
